ABOUT THE ARTIST
I began taking photographs with an old 110 camera. Photos of Big Bend, Enchanted Rock, Inks Lake. Then later Cozumel, Tulum, Xel-Ha in Mexico. Then came 35mm and the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon and Zion Canyon. My photographic eye was also evolving. I began to see the shots most others might miss. From there, I let my wandering gaze lead me to the images I wanted. With the emergence of the digital camera, I began to experiment with panoramic images. Some of my most amazing are of sunset over Lake Travis in Austin, the view from the hillside overlooking Florence, Italy and of the lake-side view from the infamous "Hippie Hollow" on Lake Travis. Merging the two - digital design and digital photograpy - was an easy and logical progression. I finally had the tools I'd been seeking ever since I first started doodling on an Etch-a-Sketch, wondering why the images on it were always so fleeting. I wanted to shake up my art, not erase it forever. My love of Italy, Texas and nature should be quite apparent in my photography and my designs.
ABOUT MARTINO GRAPHICSI originally began Martino Graphics in 2004 with the hopes of starting a graphic design business by that name. I then realized that dream was not becoming reality, so decided to change directions. I started with my photos of Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice & Lucca) on Cafepress. I then found myself designing around the theme of Italy. I created the "Now THAT'S Italian!">" followed by a series, "I'd Rather Be in Italy". Then the "Vive Bene..."   
I then created a series celbrating classic Italian ingredients: What began with pasta, garlic and tomatoes has grown and will continue to grow.
